Raghu & Priya
By Lokanath Mishra:
Raghu’s eyes gleamed with excitement as he received the letter informing him of his selection as a probationary officer at a prestigious bank. It was a dream come true for the poor but educated boy, who had worked tirelessly to escape the clutches of poverty.

Raghu’s first posting was in a small town, far from the hustle and bustle of city life. He was thrilled to start his new journey, but little did he know that his stay in the small town would be filled with unexpected challenges.
Raghu found a modest accommodation as a paying guest in a house owned by a middle-aged lady, Mrs. Sharma. She lived with her daughter, Priya, a beautiful and charming young woman. Raghu was initially hesitant to take up the accommodation, but Mrs. Sharma’s warm smile and Priya’s friendly demeanor put him at ease.

As Raghu settled into his new routine, he began to notice that both Mrs. Sharma and Priya were showering him with excessive attention. They would often find excuses to touch him, brush against him, or gaze at him with longing eyes. Raghu tried to brush it off as mere hospitality, but deep down, he knew that their intentions were far from innocent.
One evening, as Raghu was studying in his room, Mrs. Sharma knocked on the door, asking if she could come in. Raghu, sensing something was amiss, hesitated for a moment before allowing her to enter. Mrs. Sharma sat beside him, her hand brushing against his, and began to whisper sweet nothings in his ear. Raghu, taken aback by her forwardness, politely but firmly declined her advances.
The next day, Priya approached Raghu in the kitchen, her eyes locked on his, and began to flirt shamelessly with him. Raghu, feeling uncomfortable and trapped, knew he had to take drastic measures to protect himself.
That night, Raghu packed his bags and left the house, opting to stay in a hostel instead. It was a difficult decision, but he knew it was necessary to maintain his dignity and integrity.
As Raghu settled into his new life in the hostel, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief wash over him. He was grateful to have escaped the clutches of Mrs. Sharma and Priya, and he vowed to always prioritize his self-respect and well-being.
Raghu’s experience had taught him a valuable lesson: that sometimes, it’s necessary to take a stand and prioritize one’s own needs, even if it means walking away from a comfortable and convenient situation.
One day, Raghu went to a restaurant to have lunch on a sunny Sunday. As he entered, he saw Priya going to the same restaurant. Raghu noticed that the back of her dress was revealing her underpants. With great hesitation, Raghu pointed this out to her as a kind gesture. She was taken aback and embarrassed. However, when she saw Raghu, she didn’t seem to care and said that she had intentionally worn the dress for him. She told Raghu that a friend had informed her that he would be coming to the restaurant for dinner, which is why she had worn the revealing outfit. Then, Priya forced Raghu to join her for lunch. She also forced him to marry her, threatening to commit suicide if he refused. With great hesitation, Raghu agreed to marry her on the condition that they would not live with her mother. Priya agreed, and they got married and lived happily.
