By Lokanath Mishra
Five years had passed since Radhika’s marriage to Sudarshan, and their little boy had grown into a bundle of energy. Both Radhika and Sudarshan had risen through the ranks in their careers, and their life was filled with happiness and contentment.

One day, Radhika’s mother called her with an urgent invitation to visit her parents’ home in Bhubaneswar with her husband and son. The next day, they boarded a flight to Bhubaneswar, excited to spend some quality time with Radhika’s parents.

Upon arrival, Radhika was taken aback to see her daughter Sulata standing in her parents’ living room, accompanied by a young man. Sulata had come to Bhubaneswar with her husband Dinesh, a Gujarati businessman, to seek her grandparents’ blessings.

Radhika, Sudarshan, and their son were overjoyed to meet the young couple. As they exchanged warm greetings, Radhika learned about Sulata’s journey since their separation. Sulata had faced difficulties after Radhika left, and her father had married an American woman, a kind-hearted divorcee with two sons. Though her stepmother was lovely, her sons were rough and rude, leading Sulata to stay in a hostel during her college days.
After completing her engineering degree, Sulata had landed a job in London, where she met Dinesh. The two had fallen in love and gotten married recently. Radhika was overjoyed to see her daughter happy and blessed the young couple with all her love.

As they spent the day together, Radhika felt a mix of emotions – happiness, gratitude, and a sense of closure. She was glad that Sulata had found her happiness and was grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with her daughter. The family spent the day basking in the warmth of love and togetherness, creating new memories that would last a lifetime.
After spending some quality time with her parents, Radhika extended an invitation to Sulata and Dinesh to visit her home in Hyderabad. The couple happily accepted the invitation and arrived in Hyderabad a few days later.
Sudarshan, being the gracious host, arranged a grand ceremony to bless the newlyweds. He invited their relatives and friends, and the event was a grand success. The ceremony was filled with joy, laughter, and music, as everyone showered their love and blessings on the young couple.
Radhika and Sudarshan gifted Sulata many precious jewels, symbolizing their love and affection. The couple stayed with Radhika and Sudarshan for fifteen days, enjoying their warm hospitality and creating beautiful memories.
As their visit came to an end, Radhika and Sudarshan bid a fond farewell to Sulata and Dinesh, sending them off to London with love and best wishes. Though they would be miles apart, Radhika was happy knowing that her daughter had found happiness with a loving partner.( to be continued)
