Despite having three children with Rakesh, including a daughter who was born mute, Kajal chose to leave her husband and children to be with Raj in Cuttack. Desperate and alone, Sangeeta considered abortion, but the doctor refused due to the advanced stage of her pregnancy and the illegality of the procedure. Overwhelmed and feeling hopeless, Sangeeta attempted to take her own life. However, Kajal intervened and arranged for Sangeeta to marry her father Pratap instead.
In a surprising turn of events, Pratap and Sangeeta got married, and Sangeeta gave birth to a daughter. Despite the unconventional circumstances, the family eventually found happiness together.
