Bali went where?

Bali is being worshipped in Bali Baman temple in lord Jagannath temple Puri complex in form of pataleswar mahadev. Hiranyaksha was killed by lord Vishnu in his third Avatar Varaha. Hiranyakashipu was killed in 4th Avatar , Narasingh. Virochana’s son Bali was performing Yagna under supervision of Sukra.

Lord Vishnu came as Vamana and asked Bali for donation of three pada Bhumi. Despite objection by Sukra, Bali agreed to donate. Vishnu took Vishwa Rupa and in one pada took over the entire world, in second pada took the entire heaven. When he asked for third pada, Bali showed his head. Then Lord Vishnu sent him to Patal loka. Therefore in JAGANATH temple in below the ground Bali is being worshipped in the form of Pataleswar Mohadev.
