On 21 December 2025, our family was blessed with the opportunity to visit the Maa Vaishno Devi Temple at Jamukana, Nayagarh—a serene and powerful spiritual destination that beautifully blends devotion, community faith, and natural beauty. Though inspired by the world-famous Maa Vaishno Devi shrine of Jammu, this sacred hilltop temple has developed its own unique spiritual identity, offering devotees a deeply moving mini-pilgrimage experience closer to home.
Origin & Divine Inspiration
The Divine Call
Every great spiritual center begins with faith, and Jamukana’s Maa Vaishno Devi Temple is no exception. Its origin is rooted in a divine dream, where the Goddess herself is believed to have appeared before a devoted local resident. In that vision, Maa Vaishno Devi instructed the devotee to establish a shrine mirroring her holy abode in Jammu.
