The Most Embarrassing Hotel Experience
By Lokanath Mishra
It was a night to remember, or rather, a night to forget. Ritu, a fashion-conscious traveler, had booked a luxurious Hollywood suite at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. She was enjoying a relaxing evening in her room on the 22nd floor, complete with a delicious room service meal and lounging in her favorite silk pajamas with a subtle floral pattern. Her long, dark hair was tied up in a loose bun, and she had just finished a refreshing face mask.

Feeling satisfied, Ritu decided to leave the tray outside her room door, thinking it would be easy to push it back in later. However, as she attempted to leave the tray outside, the massive two-ton door swung shut, booting her into the hallway and locking itself behind her. Ritu was left standing in the hallway, wearing her silk pajamas and holding her room service tray. She couldn’t help but feel embarrassed as she stood there, wondering how she would get back into her room.

But that wasn’t the most embarrassing part of the night. After managing to get back into her room, Ritu drifted off to sleep, only to be awoken by the sight of car lights shining on the wall. She rubbed her eyes, thinking she must be dreaming or hallucinating. “How is a car possible on the 22nd floor?” she wondered.

As she looked out the window, Ritu realized that the lights were coming from the roller coaster atop the New York, New York casino, directly across the boulevard from the MGM Grand. The headlights on the front of the roller coaster cars were shining brightly, casting a glow on the wall of Ritu’s room. Ritu couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation.

“Well, that was a night to remember,” Ritu chuckled to herself. She couldn’t believe she had been so oblivious to the roller coaster’s presence, despite being in a hotel room with a great view of the Strip. As she settled back into bed, Ritu couldn’t help but think that this was a hotel experience she would never forget – and one she would be sure to share with friends and family for years to come.

The MGM Grand, known for its luxurious amenities and prime location on the Las Vegas Strip, had provided Ritu with a memorable stay, to say the least. While the experience was embarrassing, Ritu couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. After all, who needs a mini-bar when you have a roller coaster shining lights on your wall?
