Tina’s Story

Tina, a 29-year-old woman, had always been grateful for her loving family. Born into a traditional Brahmin family, she was raised with values of kindness, compassion, and respect. Her parents, though not affluent, had sacrificed everything to provide their children with the best education possible.
Tina’s father, a government servant with a meager income, had worked tirelessly to support his family. Despite the financial struggles, he had always encouraged his children to pursue their dreams. Tina’s mother, who had married at the tender age of 17, had dedicated her life to raising her children. She had studied only till the 12th standard, but her love for learning had inspired her children to pursue higher education.
Tina’s journey had not been without its challenges. She had fallen in love with a man from the Teli caste, which was considered inferior to her own caste. Despite the objections from her family, Tina had convinced them that her partner was the perfect match for her. After a year of persuasion, her family had finally accepted her partner, and they had gotten married in a small ceremony in Puri.
Tina’s husband had proven to be a loving and supportive partner. He had encouraged Tina to pursue her career, and they had built a happy life together. They had a beautiful three-year-old daughter who was the center of their universe.
But life had other plans. One day, Tina received a call from her brother informing her that their father had passed away. He was just 55 years old and had died of cardiac arrest. Tina was devastated. She had always been close to her father, and his loss was unbearable.

This teacher won’t do anything. Do you want toys? Do you want to play?” She had even hugged them and wiped their tears. Tina had felt a sense of pride and joy knowing that her daughter was growing up to be a kind and compassionate person.
But amidst all the sadness, Tina couldn’t help but feel a sense of regret. She wished she had spent more time with her parents, listened to their stories, and shown them more love and appreciation. She realized that life was short, and that every moment counted.
