Rasabali

Kendrapada is famous for Baladevjew temple and Rasabali. The temple is tourist spot and lot of tourist visit Kendrapada for Darsan of Baladevjew.
Kendrapada is the district headquarter of Kedrapada district. It connected by both road and train.
The temple was built in the year 1700. Kendrapada is known as tulasi khetra like srikhetra of Jagannath dham.
One can visit Tulasi khetra by a flight to Bhubaneswar and can take a taxi to Kendrapada or by bus. A lot of busses ply from Bhubaneswar to Kendrapada.

Since rasabali was being prepared in the temple and being offered as PRASAD to the Jew it carried it importance through ages. The RASABALI had the unique taste and easy preparation procedure it was most popular in household as a sweetdish. Thus it became a traditional sweet.
As Baladev Killed Kandarasura the demon and married his daughter TULASI in flow of time the place was known as TULASI kshetra.
ଶ୍ରୀ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ଅନ୍ୟନାମ ପୁରୀ,ଏକାମ୍ର କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ଭିନ୍ନ ନାମ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ଵର ଓ ବିରାଜା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ବିକଳ୍ପ ନାମ ଯାଜପୁର ହୋଇଥିଲା ଭଳି ତୁଲସୀ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ଅନ୍ୟ ନାମ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡା । ତୁଲସୀ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ମହାତ୍ମ୍ୟ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ବଳଦେବ ଦ୍ଵାପର ଯୁଗ ଅନ୍ତଃ କାଳରେ ଲଳିତ ଗିରିରେ ବାସକରୁଥିବା ଦୁର୍ଦ୍ଦାନ୍ତ ଅତ୍ୟାଚାରୀ ରାକ୍ଷସ କନ୍ଦରାକୁ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ହଳ ମୁଷଳ ଆୟୁଧରେ ହତ୍ୟା କରିଥିବାରୁ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ ‘କନ୍ଦରୁ ପାଢୀ’ ବା କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡା । ତେଣୁ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡାକୁ ଲୋକେ ତୁଲସୀକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ବୋଲି କହିଥାଆନ୍ତି । ଜାତି,ଧର୍ମ,ବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନିର୍ବିଶେଷରେ ଶ୍ରୀ ବଳଦେବ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡା ବାସୀଙ୍କର ଆରାଧ୍ୟ ଦେବତା ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ଭୁବନ ବିଖ୍ୟାତ ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ “ରସାବଳୀ” ଅତି ପ୍ରିୟ ଓ ସର୍ବନ୍ତକରେଣ ରେ ଗ୍ରହଣୀୟ
