( based upon true story)
By Lokanath Mishra
In the bustling city of Mumbai, a young girl named Aisha lived with her family. She was a devout Muslim, known for her kindness and compassion. Aisha’s days were filled with prayer, study, and helping others. Her smile could light up a room, and her heart was full of love for all.
One day, while browsing through Facebook, Aisha received a friend request from a boy named Rohan. She was hesitant at first, but decided to check his profile. Rohan’s profile seemed harmless, and Aisha accepted his request. As an intelligent girl, she also continued to suspect him very minutely, always mindful of her parents’ advice to be cautious online.

As they started chatting, Aisha discovered that Rohan lived in a hostel nearby. They exchanged stories, and Aisha found herself enjoying his company. Rohan seemed kind and respectful, but Aisha’s instincts never let her guard down. When Rohan asked to meet her alone at her home, Aisha’s instincts kicked in. She refused to meet him, stating that Facebook friends cannot be trusted friends without knowing the background details.
Rohan insisted, but Aisha stood firm. She suspected some bad intentions and decided to block him. This experience reminded her of her childhood, when she struggled to afford basic necessities. She recalled a shopkeeper who had taken pity on her and gifted her a packet of color pencils. His words still echoed in her mind: “Never trust anyone, beta.”
Years passed, and Aisha grew into a beautiful young woman. She married a man named Amir, who was quite advanced and spent most of his time with his friends in restaurants and movies. Amir’s father had passed away, leaving behind a business and a complex web of relationships. Amir’s mother, Nafisa, controlled the business and refused to give Amir the freedom to make decisions. Amir was not reliable, as he totally believed, motivated, and influenced by his friends.
Despite this, Nafisa liked her daughter-in-law because of her simplicity, religious nature, and intellect. Aisha’s presence brought a sense of calm to the family. However, the tension between Amir and his mother grew, and Amir eventually started his own business and stayed outside the house.
As Nafisa struggled to cope with the separation, Aisha’s compassion and empathy kicked in. Despite Amir’s initial reluctance, Aisha began visiting Nafisa, cooking meals, and caring for her. Her selfless actions eventually changed Amir’s heart, and he reconciled with his mother.
The family reunited, and Aisha’s unwavering commitment to her values had brought peace and happiness to those around her. As she reflected on her journey, Aisha realized that true happiness came from following one’s conscience and cultivating goodwill towards others. The power of good company, had transformed her life and the lives of those she loved.
In the end, Aisha’s unyielding spirit and compassion had created a ripple effect of kindness, reminding everyone that true happiness can be achieved only through empathy, selflessness, and a strong sense of values. Aisha’s story spread like wildfire, inspiring others to follow in her footsteps. Her legacy lived on, a testament to the transformative power of kindness and compassion.
