Preeti’s life was a fascinating blend of tradition and glamour. Born to a middle-class shopkeeper father, who ran a thriving business in trading and manufacturing spice packaging, sauce, pickle, and juice, Preeti’s early life was rooted in the values of hard work and entrepreneurship. However, her own aspirations lay elsewhere.
While studying in junior college in Pune, Preeti discovered her passion for modeling. Despite her parents’ and siblings’ reservations about the profession, she pursued her dreams with determination. Her beauty and charisma shone through, and she won the title of Miss Maharashtra in her first-ever beauty contest.
Encouraged by her success, Preeti continued to participate in beauty contests throughout her college years. She became a familiar face in the pageant circuit, and her confidence grew with each competition. Although her family remained skeptical, Preeti’s talent and perseverance earned her a spot as a top five finalist in the prestigious Miss India contest.
The differences between Preeti and her family eventually became insurmountable. Seeking a fresh start, she made the bold decision to move to Mumbai and pursue a career in commercial modeling. She settled into a girls’ hostel and began working with top advertising agencies, leveraging her natural flair for posing and expression to build a successful career.
As Preeti navigated the fast-paced world of modeling, she discovered her own strength and resilience. Despite the initial disapproval of her loved ones, she had chosen a path that allowed her to express herself and showcase her beauty to the world. With each new project, Preeti grew more confident, her passion for modeling fueling her journey to stardom.
As Preeti’s modeling career soared, she caught the eye of V. Raghu Prasad, a young and affluent businessman from Hyderabad. Their paths crossed, and they discovered a deep connection. Despite their different backgrounds, they found themselves falling in love.

Preeti’s life was once a picture of luxury and opulence. As the wife of a rich man of Hyderabad, she was surrounded by wealth and privilege. Theirs was a life of mansions, luxury cars, and designer clothes. But it all came crashing down when her husband passed away, leaving behind a mountain of debt.
The court’s auctioneers took away the family’s prized possessions, leaving Preeti with nothing but memories of her lavish lifestyle. Forced to start anew, she discovered a passion for cooking and began making pickles to sell in the market.
The transition was far from easy. Preeti had to learn to do everything herself, from selecting ingredients to packaging and marketing. She would spend hours each day, often till late in the evening, preparing her pickles and managing her small business. Despite the challenges, she persevered, driven by the need to survive.
As the days turned into weeks, Preeti found a sense of satisfaction in her new life. She earned a modest income of 3000 rupees per day, a far cry from the extravagant lifestyle she once knew. Yet, she felt more grounded and connected to reality.
In an interview, Preeti reflected on her journey, “I may not have the luxury cars and mansions anymore, but I’ve gained something more valuable – a sense of purpose and fulfillment. I’m no longer just a wife or a socialite; I’m a woman who works hard to earn her keep. I feel more down-to-earth now than I ever did in my life of luxury.”
Preeti’s story was a testament to the human spirit’s ability to adapt and thrive in the face of adversity. Despite the struggles, she had found a new sense of identity and purpose, one that was rooted in hard work and determination.
