Tapan has been worshipping lord Jagannath from his childhood and lord Mahadev. During the days of despair he was visiting the press square kali temple and the Sidheswara Mahadev temple twice day in the morning and evening. He was also citing silently Bhaktira sakhti . Things in the family was very much difficult to maintain.
During the year 2006 when he was going to office after the lunch in the house he just stopped on the side to offer his prayer and looking at the sky Jagannath and Balabhadra appeared in parama jyoti form for about 15 seconds, dumbfounded he could not even offered his prayer or pay his pranam. At that time there was no Jagannath temple in the boundary of the press square kali temple and later on a Jagannath temple was built inside the boundary.
