Sweta and Raju A true story
By Lokanath Mishra
Sweta and Raju’s story began when Sweta was 20 years old. Raju, her neighbor and two years her junior, had been secretly drawing pictures of her. His artwork depicted Sweta in various settings, including sitting on a horse and walking alongside one.

Sweta’s family relocated to another city due to her father’s job transfer. Years passed, and Sweta built a successful career as a Tahasildar. She married an OPS officer, but tragedy struck when he died in a road accident.
Sweta continued working diligently and was transferred to another city as a deputy collector. One day, her ADM, an IAS officer, summoned her to his office. He revealed explicit pictures Raju had drawn years ago. He told her that “he is Raju”.
Raju revealed his long-held secret: he had been deeply in love with Sweta for years.

Unbeknownst to her, he had drawn numerous pictures of her with horses, symbolizing his ardent wish for her to one day come to him. After becoming an IAS officer, Raju initially planned to propose to Sweta through their parents, but discovered she was already married.
Undeterred, he decided to propose directly. Sweta was taken aback by the sudden proposal from her boss. Citing her widowhood and seniority in age, she initially declined. However, persuasion from her parents, friends, and relatives eventually led her to reconsider, and she agreed to marry Raju.
